# STL-VS

Specialized 433 MHz radio modem kit for filling station price pylon data transmission.

## Purpose

STL-VS is used when fuel price data must be transmitted from a filling station control system or operator PC to a fuel price pylon display without laying a long cable line to the pylon.

The kit is intended for industrial filling station infrastructure and consists of two devices:

- STL-VS-USB/RS232 transmitter module
- STL-VS-RS485 receiver module

The transmitter receives data from the control system or operator workstation and sends it over a 433 MHz radio channel. The receiver sends data to the price display over galvanically isolated RS-485.

## Integration And Operation Capabilities

- Control systems and display protocols: Topaz-AZS integration through a background driver, support for Nefteprodukttekhnika, VSD, and Impuls display protocols, plus transparent pass-through mode for non-standard data streams over USB / RS-232 / RS-485.
- Pylons without RS-485: IR emulation mode can place the receiver inside the pylon and use an external IR LED near the existing display IR receiver.
- Smartphone and PC control: BLE connection can be used for configuration and price control through a smartphone or PC application with PIN protection.
- Relay mode: an intermediate relay modem can be added for remote pylons or sites with difficult construction conditions.
- Monitoring and OTA updates: modem status, signal level, and data transmission status can be monitored through web services when internet access is available; firmware updates can be delivered through a protected channel.

## Main Specifications

## RF Notice

The standard configuration uses 433 MHz antennas. Replacing the antenna with a model that has a different gain is allowed only with correct transmitter power adjustment and compliance with applicable regulatory limits.
